All Family Day Early Learning & Child Care, Before & After School, and EarlyON programs will be open as usual on Monday, November 21, 2022.<\/h3>\n

The Government of Ontario and CUPE Education Workers have come to a tentative deal.\u00a0 All schools and school-based early years and child care programs will be open as usual tomorrow.<\/strong><\/p>\n

UPDATE\u00a0 |\u00a0 November 18, 2022 (4:00PM)<\/span><\/h4>\n

Province-wide walkout of Education Support Workers on Monday, November 21<\/span>st<\/span><\/sup>\u00a0will impact Family Day Programs<\/span><\/h4>\n

Earlier this week, the Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE) issued the province with a 5-day notice of its plans to strike, as contract negotiations between Education Support Workers and the provincial government have stalled.\u00a0\u00a0A province-wide withdrawal of services could begin as early as this coming Monday, November 21st, leaving schools without a range of Education Support Workers including administration staff, librarians, early childhood educators and custodians.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

It is up to each school board to decide if child care programs will be allowed to operate, and under what circumstances.\u00a0\u00a0Family Day\u2019s Child Care, Before & After School, and EarlyON programs will be impacted.<\/span><\/p>\n

We have now received confirmation from school boards in Peel, Toronto, and York about what measures they intend to take. Please see below to determine the impacts to Family Day programs in your area\u00a0in the event that a province-wide walk-out of Education Workers takes place on Monday, November 21st<\/sup>.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n
